Our spring cleanup includes leaf and debris removal from all lawn and bed areas, pruning of dead or damaged branches on shrubs and small ornamental trees, cutting back ornamental grasses and perennials that were left standing for winter interest, and edging all bed lines and hardscape borders. We also remove any remaining annual plants from the previous season and clean out gutters and downspout areas where leaves tend to accumulate over winter.

Timing matters for spring cleanup in central North Carolina. We typically schedule these services in late February through March, after the last hard freeze but before warm-season grasses break dormancy and spring-blooming shrubs begin their growth cycle. This window allows us to prune without cutting off flower buds and gives your lawn a clean start for the first mowing of the season.
