Lawn Care in Cary, NC
Mowing and lawn treatments for Cary homes, with a schedule matched to your grass type.
Cary has some of the most established neighborhoods in western Wake County alongside newer planned communities, and the lawns reflect it. A shaded fescue yard under mature hardwoods in an older section of town needs a different plan than a sunny Bermuda lot in a newer subdivision near NC-540.
Green Garden Landscaping handles both sides of lawn care in Cary: the weekly or every-other-week maintenance visit, and the treatment program that keeps the turf fed and weed-free. You can book either one, or both together.

Established shade lawns vs. newer sunny lots
Neighborhoods such as MacGregor Downs (developed in the 1960s), Lochmere (1980s) and Preston have mature tree canopy. Under that shade, tall fescue is usually the grass that holds up, and it is mowed tall and fed mostly in fall.
Newer communities on the west side, such as Amberly and the Green Level area, often have more open, sunny lots where Bermuda or Zoysia does well. Those grasses green up in late spring, grow hard in summer and are fed on the opposite calendar from fescue.
HOA standards
Many Cary communities have an HOA with exterior appearance standards. A regular mowing and edging schedule keeps the yard consistent between visits. Tell us if your HOA has specific rules, and we will work the visit around them.
What's included
- Mowing, string trimming, edging of walks and drives, and blowing off hard surfaces
- Mowing height set for your grass: taller for tall fescue in summer, lower for Bermuda or Zoysia
- Fertilization timed to your grass type
- Pre-emergent and post-emergent weed control
- Fire ant and grub control
We do not do tree work, plant health care (shrub or tree disease and insect programs) or general pest control. On lawns, the only insect treatments we apply are for fire ants and grubs.
Every job is quoted in writing after we see the property, before any work starts.
