Can you put leaves out for the Fuquay-Varina leaf truck?

Yes. The town collects loose leaves and pine straw from one large curb pile during your recycling week, from October 12 to February 12. We build the pile the way the town asks, with no bags and no sticks, and keep it clear of the street and drains.

Do you pick up pine straw too?

Yes. Fallen pine needles are cleared with the leaves. We can also leave fresh pine straw in beds alone if you want it there.

How many visits do I need?

Wooded lots usually need two visits, one mid-season and one after the last leaves fall. Open lots in newer subdivisions often need one visit late in the season.

Fuquay-Varina yards get a mix of hardwood leaves and pine needles every fall, especially on the wooded lots around Sunset Lake and the older parts of town. Left on the lawn, that layer shades out the grass and keeps the soil wet through the winter.

Green Garden handles the whole cleanup: lawn, beds and hard surfaces, and a final mow when you are done for the season.

How Fuquay-Varina's loose-leaf pickup works

The Town of Fuquay-Varina runs loose-leaf season from October 12, 2026 to February 12, 2027. Trucks vacuum leaves once during your recycling week, and the pile needs to be at the curb by Sunday night. The town wants one large pile of leaves or pine straw, with no bags, tarps, sticks or dirt in it, kept clear of the street, sidewalks, storm drains and hydrants.

If you want to use the town pickup, we stage leaves in that format, timed to your recycling week. Or we bag and haul them away so nothing waits at the curb.

What's included

Leaves blown and cleared from the lawn, beds, walks, driveway and patio
Leaves bagged and hauled away, or moved to the curb in the format your town collects
Beds cleared of debris and bed edges recut
A final mow so the lawn goes into winter clean
Optional add-ons on the same visit: lawn aeration and a fall fertilizer application

Fall cleanup does not include tree work of any kind (no climbing, limbing or removals) or plant health care treatments.

Every job is quoted in writing after we see the property, before any work starts.
